Overview

If you are looking for a short trek in Everest region there we have a possibility to see epic mountain range even from Lower Solukhumbu which is comparatively new trial for trekkers known as Pikey Peak (4065m). One  of the best hidden and secret location at khumbu region that offers panorama view of high mountains including Everest, Lotse,  Nuptse,  Ama  Dablam, Langtang range and even Dhaulagiri at far  west. Besides all that you can experience the sweet aroma of blooming colorful Rhodondron on greenery jungle that brings you calmness which heals from all the hustle and bustle.

Crossing by the Sherpa settlement there you get profound culture and welcoming heart, love on their face, the ethnic lifestyle which has Tibetan influenced. Another part of this destination carries biological aspect even with various rare animals, endangered species together with spectacular Mountain View in front of your eyes.

According to Sir Edmund Hillary, Pikey peak reveals the bird view angle of all the highest mountains in khumbu region. It is also concerned as the best scenic for those travelers who have limited time but desire to see Everest throughout their eye.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, you meet your trekking guide for a detailed briefing about the Pikey Peak trek, including safety tips, itinerary, and cultural insights. The rest of the day is free to explore Thamel, purchase trekking essentials, or relax and acclimatize to Nepal’s vibrant atmosphere. Enjoy the evening in the lively streets filled with restaurants, shops, and cafes.

  • Day 02 - Drive to Salleri & Trek to Chhuhare (2,100m)

    Begin the adventure with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Salleri, passing through hills, terraced fields, and small rural settlements. From Salleri, the trek starts along peaceful trails surrounded by lush greenery, occasional streams, and traditional villages. You experience local Sherpa and Rai cultures firsthand as you walk through farming settlements. Reach Chhuhare in the afternoon, a quaint village offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Overnight stay at a local teahouse, enjoying traditional Nepali meals

  • Day 03 - Trek from Chhuhare to Junbesi (2,700m)

    Today’s trail takes you through dense rhododendron and pine forests, with frequent breaks to enjoy the crisp mountain air and distant Himalayan views. Pass small villages, terraced farms, and yak pastures along the way. Arrive at Junbesi, a charming Sherpa settlement known for its monasteries and friendly locals. Explore the village, learn about Sherpa culture, and enjoy the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Overnight at a cozy teahouse with warm hospitality.

  • Day 04 - Trek from Junbesi to Pikey Base Camp (3,400m)

    The trek gradually ascends through alpine forests and open ridges, offering ever-expanding views of distant Himalayan peaks. The trail is quiet and serene, with the occasional encounter with grazing yaks or local shepherds. Reach Pikey Base Camp in the afternoon and soak in the dramatic vistas of Makalu, Everest, and other Himalayan giants. Prepare your gear for the early morning summit hike. Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by majestic mountains. Overnight in tents or a simple mountain lodge.

  • Day 05 - Summit Pikey Peak (3,700m) & Descend to Junbesi

    Wake up before sunrise for the final ascent to Pikey Peak. The summit offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and the surrounding peaks. Take in the spectacular view and capture memorable photographs. After descending from the summit, return to Junbesi, retracing the scenic trails through forests and meadows. Celebrate the accomplishment of summiting Pikey Peak while enjoying the serene mountain atmosphere. Overnight at a teahouse in Junbesi.

  • Day 06 - Trek from Junbesi to Salleri & Drive to Kathmandu

    Descend through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages on the return trail to Salleri. The walk offers a relaxed pace with plenty of opportunities to interact with local communities. From Salleri, drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic highways and rivers. Arrive in Kathmandu in the late afternoon and check in at your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure or enjoy a farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 07 - Final Departure

    After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Depart Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Pikey Peak trek, Himalayan panoramas, and Sherpa culture, ending your adventure on a high note.

  • Two nights accommodation with breakfast (room with attached bathroom) in kathmandu
