Overview

Annapurna Base Camp, one of the most popular destinations for trekkers, stands at an elevation of 8,091m. This breathtaking trail comprises greenery sights, rugged terrains and beautiful mountain views. As trekkers proceed through the trail, they will come across waterfalls and serene forests.

In the midst of landscapes and rugged terrains, trekkers can experience a diverse element of adventure while opting for Annapurna Base Camp. The panoramic views of the mountains become more prominent as ascending to higher elevations. 

With its cultural diversity, impeccable views and astonishing ecosystem, Annapurna Base Camp truly offers a once in a lifetime experience with the greatest sense of achievement and awe. Discover the wonders of this trek and create unforgettable memories. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at Kathmandu

    Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you’ll have time to rest and recover from your flight. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a short briefing and gear check.

  • Day 2 - Drive to Pokhara (900m)

    Enjoy a scenic 6–7 hour drive to Pokhara, passing through rivers, terraced fields, and local towns. Upon arrival, explore Lakeside or relax by Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

  • Day 3 - Drive to Nayapul/ Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)

    Drive to Nayapul and begin the trek through beautiful villages and lush forests. Ascend steadily to reach the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk. Explore its stone houses, culture museum, and mountain views.

  • Day 4 - Trek to Chomrong (2140m)

    Descend to Kimrong Khola and climb uphill through forests and terraced fields. Reach Chhomrong, a large Gurung settlement with close-up views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Rest and prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.

  • Day 5 - Trek to Dovan (2500m)

    The trail descends to Chhomrong Khola and climbs to the bamboo forests of Sinuwa. Walk through dense forest paths and peaceful surroundings to reach Dovan. Overnight at a teahouse in the valley.

  • Day 6 - Trek to Deurali (3200m)

    Continue through lush forests and narrow trails toward Himalayan Hotel. Gradually ascend to Deurali, surrounded by cliffs and waterfalls. The air becomes cooler as you approach the high alpine zone.

  • Day 7 - Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m)

    Start your ascent to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and continue to Annapurna Base Camp. Witness breathtaking 360° views of Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and other peaks. Spend the night at ABC under a starry Himalayan sky.

  • Day 8 - Trek down to Sinuwa (2360m)

    Descend the same trail through Deurali, Dovan, and Bamboo. The downhill walk is easier and enjoyable with forest scenery. Reach Sinuwa for an overnight stay.

  • Day 9 - Trek to Siwai and drive to pokhara

    Trek downhill toward Jhinu, then continue to Siwai. Drive back to Pokhara and relax after completing the trek. Celebrate with lakeside dinner or exploration.

  • Day 10 - Drive back to Kathmandu

    Take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Once checked in, enjoy a free evening for shopping or sightseeing. Your ABC adventure concludes with a cultural farewell.

  • International flight costs
  • On-arrival visa fees at Tribhuwan Internationa Airport- (15 days – $25-30, Travel insurance
  • Extra night accommodation, meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara due to early arrival, or late departure or early return from the trek.
  • Personal expenses such as shopping, snacks, alcoholic drinks, hot (tea/coffee) drinks, cold drinks, bottle or boiled water, shower, Wi-Fi, laundry, telephone call, battery re-charge fee, extra porters, etc
  • Personal clothing and gear
  • Tips for guide and porters
  • Additional costs due to delays caused by circumstances beyond company control like landslides, bad weather conditions, itinerary modification for safety concerns, illness, change of government policy, political instability, etc
