Located at around 4,870 m (15,978 feet), Makalu Base Camp surrounds itself with the mountains and glaciers of the valley. It is situated in the eastern part of Nepal, with scenic views of Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world. Since the accessibility is a bit remote and protected, trekkers need to put extra effort into getting there. It starts by taking a flight from Kathmandu up to Tumilngtar. The trail takes trekkers through the terrain from there, giving them a sense of tranquillity. From there onwards, the journey for the trekkers truly begins.
